The Woodlands Enhanced Social Care Service provides a specialist residential service for six men with a learning disability and complex conditions such as personality disorder, mental health problems and forensic issues. The service is staffed 24/7 by a dedicated team of support workers.

The service at The Woodlands is designed for those individuals who require a high level of support and supervision in a community setting, often as part of a pathway when stepping down from low secure hospital or rehab care.

Specialist service for individuals with learning disability

The service at The Woodlands is designed for those individuals who require a high level of support and supervision in community setting, often as part of a pathway when stepping down from secure or hospital care.  

The aim of the service is to encourage individuals to lead a full and valued life, enabling them to live more independently through a programme of active community engagement, developing meaningful social networks, managing risk and developing robust coping strategies.

The Woodlands forms a key part of Lighthouse Healthcare’s pathway of specialist learning disability services in Staffordshire which includes locked rehabilitation services at The Woodhouse

The Woodlands Enhanced Social Care Service is a community based specialist learning disability residential care home for men located centrally in Wolstanton near Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffordshire.
