Inspiring Evening at the National Learning Disability & Autism Awards for our finalists
On Friday 14th July Lighthouse Healthcare attended the National Learning Disability and Autism Awards at the ICC in Birmingham.
We were very proud to have two finalists at the awards: Carl Slaney our Behaviour Management Specialist in the Positive Behaviour Support category and also Tamara Marlog a support worker at Chesterfield House in North Hykeham our specialist residential service for adults with learning disability in the Support Worker of the Year category.
Debbie Nutt, Service Director at Lighthouse Healthcare who attended the awards to support Tamara and Carl said; “Although Tamara and Carl didn't win their categories, the judges said that the judging was so close and that they were all winners.”
“We had a fab night with lots of dancing to finish a brilliant evening.”
“Tamara and Carl said they both left feeling inspired to go for it again next year.”
The awards night hosted by Sally Phillips actress, television presenter and comedian aims to celebrate excellence in the support for people with learning disabilities and autism and pay tribute to those individuals or organisations that excel in providing quality care.Back
