Healthlinc House Celebrates 20th Anniversary
Healthlinc House in Lincolnshire has been providing specialist hospital rehabilitation services to men and women with a learning disability and complex needs since 1997.
To mark their 20th anniversary service users and staff at Healthlinc House celebrated with a day of fun activities and fancy dress.
A time vault capsule was prepared and filled by the service users. This was then buried within the new sensory garden to record the event and hopefully to be opened again in another 20 years. Flowers were planted by service users next to a new seated arch with commemorative plaques.
Support worker Sue Stott made a lovely 20th anniversary cake to commemorate the occasion. This was then cut and distributed amongst all at the event.
Service users organised and ran stalls which included face painting, non-alcoholic cocktails, tin can alley, guess the weight of the cake, a treasure hunt and water gun target games.
At lunchtime everyone enjoyed a picnic with items provided by each apartment.
Following this White Post Farm arrived with animals for the service users to look at and hold, including guinea pigs, a rabbit, bearded dragon, snake and tortoise.
At the end of the event both service users and staff enjoyed letting off some steam in the afternoon sunshine with some water games.
