Lighthouse was founded in 2007. The Lighthouse group of companies originally consisted of Healthlinc Individual Care Ltd, Acorn Care Ltd, Growing Older with Learning Disabilities Ltd and Lighthouse Recovery. In October 2010, these companies were all brought under the Lighthouse banner.
Our ethos is built upon a shared belief that by focusing on the individual using a person-centred approach, new opportunities can be created for people to maximise their potential and independence.
Lighthouse now offer 174 beds in 8 hospitals and care homes in England and Wales. Each of these units are staffed by an experienced team of clinical and healthcare professionals, representing the fields of psychiatry, psychology, nursing and caring.
Our person-centred plans of care and support are based on the assessed needs of each individual and promote the principles of an 'ordinary life', raising aspirations and the feeling of self worth.
By focusing on the outcomes, recovery and rehabilitation, Lighthouse is among the first choice for commissioners, clinicians, carers and the families of those suffering from a learning disability or mental illness.
